Two rubber caps are provided with the SyriJet. A rubber cap is placed over the head of the instrument asnd acts as a cushion between the instrument and the tissue. The caps may be cold sterilized, boiled or autoclaved and should be changed between patients.

• Hold rubber cap between thumb and forefinger as illustrated.
• Place rubber cap on instrument tip.
• Stretch rubber cap and place over instrument head.
• Check that the opening in the rubber cap is in line with the orifice of the instrument.
