* Always administer an initial .05cc injection to provide subtopical anesthesia for painless application.

The opening of the incisive canal is coverd by the incisive papilla which serves as a landmark for anesthetizing the oral branches of the Naso Palatine Nerve.

Place the tip of the instrument slightly to one side of the papilla. The tip should be at right angles to and in gentle but firm contact with the tissue.
