Grasp instrument and cocking handle "wishbone" fashion, as shown.

• Keep finger off trigger when cocking.
• Using "wishbone" motion, pull handle and instrument in opposite directions.
• Watch to see that rubber plunger in cartridge advances with each cocking.
• listen for click, indicating Syrijet is cocked. (handle will be at slightly more than right angle from closed starting position.

Do not cock or discharge instrument without cartridge in place. Instrument should only be cocked when ready to use.

To assure full desired dosage, make sure there is at least 1/32" of fluid in cartridge before firing.
